Power strip accessories — brass, housing and cable
A power strip is a plastic housing, a cable and a set of brass conductors. We supply all three: the contact clips and busbars that carry the current, the housing and hardware that hold them, and the cable that feeds them. Buy the accessory set, or the whole unit — both start on the same lines.
The whole set
Three groups of parts, one supplier
Most enquiries come in asking for one item and then need the other two. Quoting them together is the point of this line.
Brass conductors
- Contact clips and socket inserts for the standard you sell into
- Multi-way busbars, jumper strips and bridging plates
- Screw terminals, crimp terminals, pins and blades
- H62 / H65 brass, phosphor bronze for the grips
Plastic housing
- Body, cover and end caps in the material your market expects
- Colour matched to your artwork
- Mould and tooling agreed in writing before it is cut
- Printed logo, rating label and market markings
Hardware and cable
- Screws, rivets, springs and earth straps
- Switch, indicator and their internal contacts
- Cable to the length, gauge and plug type of the destination market
- Export carton, hang card or blister to your artwork
Representative configurations, not a fixed catalogue — socket count, housing shape, cable and branding are made to your specification.
Built to your standard
The standard decides the brass, not the other way round
The plug standard sets the pin profile and the current, and both of those decide the contact geometry and the cross-section of the conductor behind it. Tell us the destination market and the accessory set is designed around it.
- BS1363 — United Kingdom, Ireland, the Gulf, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, with a fused plug and shuttered socket
- CEE 7/7 (Schuko) and Type E — Germany, France and most of the EU, where the clips do the gripping
- NEMA 5-15 — United States, Canada, Mexico, where blade thickness and alignment matter as much as the material
- AS/NZS 3112 and Type L — Australia, New Zealand and Italy
Component documentation — material test report, RoHS report, dimensional records — goes out with every batch. Finished-product certification is arranged with the assembler per order; we supply the documents that support the file. More detail on the finished power strip page.
